TEACHING
With several years of teaching experience, and degrees and diplomas in music, piano accompaniment and instrumental teaching, Robin Versteeg is a teacher of sensitivity, perceptiveness and breadth. He tutors young people and adults of all experience levels in piano and theory, and is a professional member of the Incorporated Society of Musicians.
A passionate educator, Robin runs a thriving private piano teaching practice from his home in Strathspey. Before moving to the Highlands, he taught piano at a number of independent schools and for Dundee City Council. Whether in introducing young beginners to the rudiments of theory and the piano, or in taking more experienced pianists through grade exams or the performance components of National 5 and Higher music courses, Robin is a supportive and empathetic teacher of both children and adults. He has been on the music examiner panel for Trinity College London for a number of years, and has worked with young people in group settings for such organisations as Glasgow Voice Factory, NYCOS, and Scottish Opera Education. Robin holds an LRAM in instrumental teaching from the Royal Academy of Music and is a member of the Incorporated Society of Musicians.
